Being out in nature is an excellent way of regulating the nervous system, and for many people much more comfortable than talking to a counsellor in an office setting or through video/phone.

Over the last year I’ve done a great deal of walking around some of Vancouver’s parks, particularly Pacific Spirit, also known as The Endowment Lands.

Pacific Spirit has a great trail system, old growth forest, easily accessible (mostly flat), and thus a perfect setting for people to enjoy the natural calming effects of nature while having a counselling session.

There is bus service to the park (UBC 25), and lots of free parking (on 16th and Imperial Drive) if you are driving.

If a Walk & Talk session is something you are interested in contact me through phone or email and I can give you more details as well as figure out whether this is a suitable option.

You’re welcome to book online through the link below, and please keep in mind that we’ll need to discuss some particulars (location + waiver form) before meeting in person.

*Please note that Walk & Talk sessions will be weather dependent, and only taking place during daylight hours.

*We’ll be meeting at the Huckleberry trailhead (South side of 16th Avenue, just West of Imperial Drive), and check out map below for the location.
